  • Locally Stored Data: Generated mind maps and editing history stored locally within your browser using Chrome’s storage API. ClipMind may require account registration to enable certain features. When you register, we may collect basic account information such as an email address for authentication and account management purposes. ClipMind does not collect payment information directly within the Chrome extension.
  1. How We Use Your Information The information processed by ClipMind is used solely to:
  • Generate AI-powered mind maps, and brainstorming results at your request.
  • Enable editing, organization, and visualization of mind maps in different views.
  • Support import, export, and sharing features initiated by you.
  • Improve usability through locally stored preferences such as layouts, themes, and display modes. ClipMind does not use user data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking.

  • Local Storage: Mind maps, history records, and user preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome’s storage API. This data remains on your device unless you choose to delete it.
  • Transient Processing: Content transmitted for AI processing is handled temporarily to generate the requested output and is not retained by ClipMind after the processing is completed.
  • Shared Content: If you choose to export files or generate shareable links, only the content you explicitly choose to share will be included. You may remove all locally stored data at any time through your browser’s extension settings or by uninstalling the extension.

Third-Party Services To provide AI-powered summarization, brainstorming, and transformation features, ClipMind may transmit selected content to third-party AI service providers acting as data processors. These providers may operate in different jurisdictions and process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. These providers process data solely to generate the requested output and do not retain, reuse, or sell the data for their own purposes, in accordance with their respective privacy policies. ClipMind does not sell user data and does not share data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

  • sidePanel: Enables ClipMind to provide a workspace within Chrome’s Side Panel and quick access to features.
  • activeTab: Allows ClipMind to access and process content from the tab you explicitly select.
  • tabs: Used to identify the active tab and support user-initiated workflows (such as opening or interacting with the selected page).
  • scripting: Used to extract and structure on-page content and to render ClipMind’s interface or helpers within the current tab when required for summarization.
  • storage: Stores mind maps, history, and user preferences locally on your device.
  • host permissions: ClipMind may run on pages you choose to process. Content is accessed only as part of user-initiated actions (e.g., clicking summarize or opening ClipMind for the current page), not for advertising or cross-site tracking.

  • Export & Share: You control when and how content is exported or shared.
  • Uninstall: Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data from your device.
