Mind Maps & Settings: The mind maps you generate, along with your preferred layouts and color themes, are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to any external servers.
Optional Remote Processing: For AI-based summarization and brainstorming features, the extension may send webpage content or user prompts to remote servers exclusively to generate the requested results. This data is not stored after processing and is not used for any other purpose.
Clipmind requests the following permissions to function properly:
activeTab & tabs: Required to access the content of the webpage you choose to process.
scripting: Necessary to extract text from webpages for summarization purposes.
sidePanel: Used to display mind maps and brainstorming tools within your browser.
storage: Enables the local storage of mind maps and user preferences.
Clipmind does not request blanket host permissions and will only process pages that you explicitly activate.
Clipmind does not share, sell, or trade your data with third parties. Data processed by AI services is used solely to generate responses and is not stored or reused for any other purpose.

Uninstall: Since no account is required to use Clipmind, uninstalling the extension will automatically remove all associated data from your browser.
